I am thrilled to have the kitties home. the guys working with baggage and where the kitties were brought into the airport from the plane, they told me I was really lucky I got the kittens. They all talked about how cute they were, how they stuck their fingers in thro the wires and played with the kittens. They said they were so cute they would like to have taken them home with them, but of course figured they'd get in trouble. NO KIDDING!!!! Anyway, it was so cute seeing men my age (any age for that matter) gushing over two tiny kittens and saying how they would llike to take them. They sure wern't afraid in any way. It's because of the way they've been raised so far. They've been around lots of other animals, including a dog, a family that is around and interacts with them all the time. I think after they check out the new place, whereever they go, any of your kittens will be well adjusted healthy and happy. At least that's my experience so far.
The kittens have checked out the whole house, which didn't take long since it's so small. I think they will spend a lot of time in my bedroom too. One reason is because this is where all my things are that I do, and they want to be where I am. Also, when one is in any room and doesn't know where the other is, or where I am, that's when they cry for me......as you heard on the phone.....They've played with every toy Ive gotten. Since it's been so long since I've had a kitten, I didn't have toys and the necessary things. I went out and got things. The necessary things, then of course, couldn't come home without getting toys and things I knew they would like. Some things I think I saw in pictures at your house, but also things I've had before that I know kittens, and grown cats like to play with.
They went into the kitty litter, boy like they had been using it forever. I'm glad I got the one with the top on it. It keeps the kitty litter in better. Then the thing I told you I got that is like an area rug on the back (adhesive to the floor texture) and when they get out of the kitty litter box the top side of the area thing gets all the kitty littler that may be on their feet, or whereever. This way there is no litter all over the floor. Sure makes it nicer.
Thanks for all the tid bits of info you have given me. There are lots of little things I didn't know, or tricks I haven't used. And as far as the squirt bottle and sh sh, works very well. They've gotten that down pretty well. Your work has payed off. I've only used the spray bottle a couple of times, The rest of the time just the sound works. Ya trained them well!!! The babies are curled up on my bed by me (I'm sitting on the side of my bed typing this). Anyone who sees them admits that they really do need to be together. They are wonderful company for eachother. Where one is the other one will be. And, the give me lots of love already. The will stand and look up, the put their paws up to be picked up (that's when they can't get up where I am and want to be picked up) So, I pick them up, before letting go I hold them close, scratch behind their ears and stuff, while they purr, then they curl up beside me. The three of us are going to get along wonderfully!!!!I I love them to death already!!
email when ya can, I'll do the same, and send ya pics as they grow. You were right. They are really sweeties!!!
Aloha

Asha, I wanted to take the time to commend you on the wonderful job you do socializing your kittens. This is the first time I have ever purchased a pet site unseen. From the moment I sent you the deposit, I had my fingers crossed hoping I had not made a costly mistake, but I couldn't be more pleased. Rascal is the best little kitten I have ever seen. He is not afraid of anything, he loves to be held, he falls asleep on his back cradled in my arms just like a baby. My other cats have learned to love him too. After he is done terrorizing them, he plops down beside them and they groom him till he falls asleep. He doesn't scratch or bite us unnecessarily. Even my vet commented on what a well behaved kitten he was, he pushed the vet away without using his claws. His favorite place to sleep, besides on my chest, is my open laptop. When ever he sees it open, he plops himself down on it and goes to sleep. When he is ready for me to wake up in the mornin he sucks on either my cheek or my nose. He is an absolute joy. I want to assure anyone who may have some hesitation purchasing a kitten site unseen just as I did, they wont be disappointed. You kept me updated while he was growing and went out of your way to help find a way to get him to me, so I wouldn't have to drive 3 hours each way while my dad was sick. You have made this a pleasurable experience and I hope to do it again someday when you have Himalayan kittens again. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year 12-30-2010. Diana

Hi Asha,
Thank You so much again for our wonderful little guys, they are so amazing!! We had no problem taking them over the border and all we had to pay was our provincial taxes, no biggie. We have decided on names, the Blue Smoke Van is now Gaston and the Silver Harlequin is now Henry. Below I have included some pictures the first one is just of the ride home, Gaston was a little nervous at first, but they both soon became adventurous. Audrey decided to sit in the back with them and they were crawling all over her checking things out. Once we got home there was about an hour and a half of playing, exploring and learning were thing are and Gaston decided he liked to go on the windowsill in the sun (pic 2). Then everyone was tired and the boys decided to take a nap on their new cat tree (pic 3). We found the pictures Asha ThankYou, it was funny I was looking through the toys and found the pig and thought "this is a strange toy maybe it bounces", then I noticed the USB tag on it and realized what it was, LOL!
I think the boys are getting to like it here already as Gaston started purring last night and Henry started purring and neading this morning.
Thanks Again Asha, We'll talk again soon,
Dave.
